My modified Ham Int. Concorde 2.

For the last 16 or 17 years, i've been running a Ham International Concorde 2, modified with Super Highs, switchable roger beep & variable power up to 10 watts, with a Shakespear Super Big Stick 3 aerial. Just recently, my aerial got hit by lightening and exploded so next week i'm replacing it with a Sirio 827. Not interested in an Antron 99. A few of my friends that have them (with the ground plane kits) and none of them could out perform my Super Big Stick 3.

I've also decided to retire my Ham International concorde 2. That'll get put away while it still works & because it's always been an exellent radio never to have gone wrong & my first ever sidebander, i'll never sell it. In January when I get my holiday bonus from work, I've decided i'm going to buy a Superstar 3900 EFT. It's the one with built in 6 digit frequency counter, built in echo chamber & 12 banks of 40 channels covering 24.265 - 29.655MHz.

My question is... Does anyone on the forum own one or previously owned one that can tell me... Does anyone know what channel banks they are & is the built in echo any good? I've watched reviews on YouTube but they were mostly impartial & didn't say whether the radio's any good or not... didn't say what channel banks it operated & didn't say if the echo was any good. Even if the radio covers S.S.S.S.Lows to S.S.S.S.Highs, that's only 11 positions on the channel bank selector, there's still one position left. It would be nice if the final switch position was for the UK 40 but it probably isn't. I'm hoping it performs as good as the standard Superstar 3900.

Is anyone able to help me out?
